So if you haven't been on social media for the last few days you may not have heard about the "line""

This project which is aimed to be completed by 2030 is in the works by Saudi Arabia. Just by looking at the image above it is clear that designing a building of this scale will take significant time, resources and manpower. This is in essence a city in a line with people working in between the 170km long wall of glass that stretches along the whole of the structure.
Here is a infographic I designed displaying more information on the city.

The line does offer incredible advantages which need to be tackled immediately due to the never-ending increasing danger humans are causing to the environment. The huge question especially for myself is something so ambitious even possible?
The sheer size and length of a building like this does raise fair concerns with how such a linear structure would tackle security from natural disasters. Additionally the building plans will cause relocation of "the Huwaitat tribe" and they can trace their lineage of the region further than Saudi Arabia.
If Saudi Arabia manages the tribe conundrum like their Government have recently managed issues, then I'm sure no remorse will be given to the residents.
Neom (company designated to design "the line") designed a video for America for how New York would look with this same design. I find it unlikely though that this will be given much of a glance because of their relations with Saudi Arabias humanitarian conditions. Biden and the recently appointed Prince have had clearly stated their minds about one another.
Touching back on the advantage and main ambition for this rendered city. It has very good signs and displays strong initiative towards the steps going forward to make our planet more green. I believe this is the direction the world should be going and I know financially it's not viable for some but it is neccessary for the preservation of all.
As this project was only unveiled a few days ago it is not possible to see how it will be received in the long term especially if it comes through on all of it's promises. The majority of people are left with more questions than answers. One of mine is will Saudi Arabia set the precedence for the worlds aims to be more environmentally friends? Only time, politics & money will tell.
